Hi,
Im an Angleno and a reporter. Im working on a gear test for The New York Times that focuses on 27 tires. Most suppliers are reporting a huge increase in sales, largely coming from people pulling old bikes from storage and co-ops like yours as well, and wed like to test whats on the market: a total of five tires in all. And were looking for a tester or a couple of testers. Any interest?
Now for the bad news: testers are not compensated. I wish it were otherwise, but thats the papers policy, not mine. We would, however, include a line about the co-op in the story.
Again, the story is about 27 tires, so the tester would need to ride one of these rigs, as opposed to a 700c bike to test em. And Id love to have two or three testers if possible. Please drop me a line if anyone at the shop is interested. And, because this is the land of newspapers, Im on deadline so please e-mail or call sooner rather than later.
Best,
Steve
